STUDENT VOLUNTEERS Our work week began on Monday with student volunteers. I cannot say enough good things about the group we had. They were polite, courteous, worked hard, and smiled though the process. The museum purchased new folding chairs a few weeks ago, so the day for they guys began with completely rearranging our storage unit to make room for the old chairs. Meanwhile, the ladies replaced hardware on our tables. All came together to unload and unbox the new chairs. I commend Canadian ISD for instilling the importance of volunteering for the community. Students were: Karis King, Montzy Flores, Tyler Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Brenda Hernandez, Kyler Collins, Hayden York and Kyle Wright. Sponsor was Kelly Cooper-Cameron.

ARTIST RECEPTION It was a privelege to host an artist reception for Gary Leddy this past Thursday, April 19th. Artist Gary Leddy is an Oklahoma rancher, painter and sculptor. His love of art has been inspired by day to day life experiences, and living on the open range. Gary’s attention to detail brings life to his work, making for a fascinating show.
