MUSEUM NOTES: OCTOBER 14, 2020

FALL FOLIAGE ANNUAL QUILT SHOW
I am so excited that we are in the last quarter of the nightmare year of 2020. However, and much more importantly, I am tremendously excited about this year’s annual quilt show. Only a pandemic could force us to change our yearly show, but in this case, it has been a good thing. If you have not heard, we are only displaying historic quilts from our collection. The youngest quilts on display are 70 years old and the oldest quilt is 175 years old! They each represent different quilting trends throughout the decades. Some of them are exquisitely crafted, some were made from the love of friends and church members, and some were made primarily to keep people warm during cold nights. They are each special and wonderful in their own way. We will only be open on Saturday, 9am-5pm. Hope to see you there!
