WILD WEST THEME GALA
We are preparing for our next big event, our Wild West Gala. You don’t want to miss out on all the Hogtown fun! Entrance tickets are on sale now for $50. You can come dressed in Wild West costumes or modern Western wear. Some of the funds raised from this Gala will go towards the cost of creating four education trunks (Native Americans, Ranching and Pioneers, Panhandle Wildlife, and Military History). These education trunks can be used in the classroom or during school visits. The Gala is scheduled for November 9th, 7pm-10pm. Come by or call us for more information at 323-6548.

ANNUAL QUILT SHOW
Our annual quilt show was well attended with thirty-five quilts on display. This year’s Bragging Rights Winner is Frederica Seaman with her Black and Blooming quilt. Second place winner was Ilene Floyd with her Christmas Pickle quilt. We had a third place tie between LeAnn Flynn’s Dresden Plates quilt and Betty Bynum’s great-grandmother’s Broken Star quilt. There were four Quilts of Valor on display, each given to four local veterans on October 18th, John Floyd, Alfred Godino, John McGarr, and Warren Rivers. We had several volunteers who helped, to include Mary Cruz Borrego, Edith Carrrera, Ilene Floyd, Paula Forrest, Junior Govea, Jamie Salazar, Maureen Scott, Paula Valenzuela, and Valerie Vasquez.
