MUSEUM NOTES: May 1, 2019

BROWN BAG LUNCHEON MAY 7TH NOON-1PM

Our first brown bag luncheon scheduled for 2019 is this coming Tuesday, May 7th. This luncheon is hosted with Page L. Steed, our current exhibitor of “Captured Moments.” Her nature inspired photography is stunning and a must-see.

If you have not had the chance to come see Page’s art work, then you don’t want to miss her Brown Bag Luncheon presentation, “How to Shoot Things and Save Bullets.” Page will provide a colorful compilation of pointers on how to take better shots using your camera or smartphone. Lunch, tea, and water will be served.

HEMPHILL COUNTY ORAL HISTORY INTERVIEW PROJECT
The museum has recently partnered with Beth Sturgeon, owner and proprietor of the Last Cowboy’s Court, to conduct an intensive oral history interview project of Hemphill County. We have compiled a long list of names and have already started the process of capturing their stories one by one. So, don’t be too surprised if one of us contacts you for an interview in the near future
